Magicians: The Devil's Deal - Focus Entertainment Announces a Hellish FPS with Its First Trailer
Focus Entertainment and Uppercut Games have announced Magicians: The Devil's Deal—a narrative first-person shooter in which stage magic becomes a deadly weapon. Magicians will be pulled out of the hat in 2027.
A devilish pact as the foundation of gameplay
In Magicians: The Devil's Deal, you take on the role of Jacob Menteuro, once a celebrated illusionist with almost supernatural talent, until his own rivals betrayed him and banished him to hell. There, the Devil is already waiting with an offer: in exchange for a shady pact, Jacob’s stage tricks become real, devastating powers. The goal? Hunt down the so-called Masters—Jacob’s former colleagues and betrayers—steal their abilities, and uncover the truth behind the betrayal.
This action game is set in Theatreland, a hellish reflection of Victorian London in the 1890s. Each district is ruled by a powerful Master, surrounded by fanatical followers and bizarre showmen. Your arsenal: playing cards as razor-sharp projectiles, chains to bind opponents, and gravity manipulation. Magic as a combat system, in other words. Every encounter demands observation and adaptation.
The Australian studio Uppercut Games is developing the title in close collaboration with Focus Entertainment. The PC release of Magicians: The Devil's Deal is scheduled for 2027. There will also be a deal on Gamesplanet then, but it won’t be devilish by any means.
