Fixing Performance Issues with Ghost Recon Wildlands

Sometimes a game comes along and it doesn't perform the way it is expected and with the release of Ghost Recon Wildlands many people are being hit with performance issues that have crept in from the Closed/Open Beta, but we've got some fixes to help ease your issues and make things just a bit better!

As always it's recommended that you Update your Graphics Drivers before starting the game. It goes without saying that you should always update your drivers before playing a game as running on old drivers can cause horrible issues. At present their is no Game Ready Driver for Nvidia but AMD currently have a driver for the game available.

Use Adaptive Vsync

This seems to be a quick fix for now that will not result in any stutter, since using Vsync in the game will result in some terrible FPS drops that can seriously hinder enjoyment. To fix this you'lll need to head to your Options menu -> Video Settings and select "Adaptive" under Vsync.

Use Borderless

May result in some stutter!

If Adaptive Vsync isn't going to solve your problem you can try running it in Borderless and setting a Frame Rate Limit in the options (or turning Vsync off completely). Go to the Options menu -> Video Settings and select "Borderless" on Window Mode, then you will need to set Frame Rate Limit to 60 or whichever method works best for you.

Change your Polling Rate on Mouse

Another possible solution to frame drops will come from the the polling sensitivity on your mouse being too high, if you're using a mouse with a Polling Rate of 1000 you should lower it to 500 and see if that helps you out. This can be a little tricky to figure out, but most gaming mice come with software that will allow the polling rate to be changed in the config.

For example, if you're losing a Roccat mouse, you can change the Rate under "Advanced Control" on the Mouse Settings Control Panel.
