Watch Dogs 2 Review

The gameplay in Watch Dogs 2 is refreshing and unique. Driving is significantly improved over the original Watch Dogs’s but still requires a bit of work.

All in all, the gameplay is really improved and if you played the original Watch Dogs you will feel right at home. The only thing you’ll need to relearn is the hacking. Hacking has changed a lot and now comes with more options which add’s quite a bit of variety. Including the new mechanics like the Drone Mode.

On top of this, the Multiplayer (or Co-Op) is really fun and well made, which is a huge improvement over the first game.

The game looks really good, there are loads of details in textures and assets. Sadly, it doesn’t look as good as the trailers or anywhere near “super-realistic” like Battlefield 1‘s graphics.

Overall, the story is amazing. You are not some middle aged man killing everyone because someone killed your niece. You are a young hacker that was accepted into a group called Dedsec and is now trying to take down a big company because it’s stealing people’s private information and selling it to companies.

The story is quite fun, there are many dialogues that have caused a “Laugh out loud” moment, the missions seem to be well made and the story is a huge improvement over the first game.

The audio is the game is average. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not terrible, but, it’s nowhere near the audio that games made with Frostbite can provide.

Watch Dogs 2 gives you a lot of options to complete missions, with so many “Open routes” instead than single paths to get around missions, along with the different approaches you can really have quite a bit of variety in the game. This is something that was missing from Watch Dogs
