Please don't step on Rats: A Plague Tale Presents Uncut Gameplay Trailer
Rats! Rats everywhere! New game scenes from the upcoming action adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence was served us today by Focus Home Interactive. The clip shows 8 minutes of uncut gameplay.
These are dark times in medieval Europe. The plague rages in every nook and cranny. Rats are organizing squeaking concerts in the alleys of the villages and then there's the Inquisition... A Plague Tale opens the historical epidemic vial and lets us breath in the smell of epoch in which the imbalance between scientific progress and religion is playing to the disadvantage of the heretics. The rats, in Asobo Studio's action adventure, don't care whose flesh they bury their teeth in.
A new uncut gameplay trailer for A Plague Tale features dark, filthy and sad shambles of medieval times. The two siblings Amicia and Hugo flee from the French Inquisition to a country hit by the plague. The spreading disease makes the life hard for humans but sets the tables for rats that now populate the city. In this particular part of gameplay trailer Amica is venturing without the company of her brother Hugo. We get to see this section of A Plague Tale for the first time and it's exciting to see how the environment is integrated with the gameplay. Rats seem to be extremely sensitive to light and fire. Amicia can collect useful items, such as alcohol and projectiles, which allows her to ignites torches and use that to her advantage. These can be torches that she can take with her or static lights that keep Amicia away from rodents... at least in the close proximity.
With clever thinking the small rodents can be used as our ally. One of such examples is when Amicia steers the pack of rats with the use of light straight onto enemy. A Plague Tale is perhaps more of an adventure than an action game, but is packed with puzzle elements and a flexible crafting system.
