Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve: 101 trailer showcases the campaign, squad and online modes

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve: A new overview trailer summarises what to expect ahead of the official PC launch on October 2nd. The trailer offers a glimpse into the campaign, aircraft customisation and online modes.

The new trailer for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve summarises key elements of the game with commentary. The campaign and individual missions focus on customising your aircraft effectively before each mission and choosing the right armament; the video also introduces a few squad members. Attacks on enemy superweapons are also shown – massive boss enemies that you’ll take on from the air during the campaign or in online missions. It’s not until the second part of the video that the focus shifts entirely to online mode: here, you’ll compete against each other or team up in co-op, in teams with varying numbers of pilots. In one mode, up to eight of you can even join forces to battle formidable opponents. Your character can also be customised for the multiplayer portion.

The Deluxe Edition of Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve includes the base game, a customizable cosmetic set, and a Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher. Advanced Access is expected to start on September 29, 2026, three days before the regular launch on October 2.

Anyone who pre-orders from Gamesplanet, whether the Standard or Deluxe Edition, will also receive pre-order bonuses: the playable F-14A Tomcat fighter jet and a free copy of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War (Steam version). The latter is a PS2 classic from 2006 in which you play as the mercenary pilot “Cipher” in the fictional Belkan War of 1995—a prequel to Ace Combat 5 that still enjoys cult status in the community today. Both editions come with pre-order bonuses. Only the Deluxe Edition includes Advanced Access as a bonus.
