Guide - Activate the Gamesplanet skin for the Peterbilt 579 Truck

Hey guys, with the release of American Truck Simulator Heiner Schmidt has created a custom Gamesplanet skin to use on the Peterbilt 579 Truck. In this guide we explain how to get your very own set of themed wheels to promote us on the virtual highway!

Important:

This skin makes it possible to personalize the Cabin Duty cabin model of the Peterbilt 579 truck. The Stand Up Sleeper and Hi Rise Sleeper cabins are still to be finished!

How to install the Skin

1) Grab the Skin here and extract the files to a new folder.

2) After launching the game for the first time, create a "mod" folder in the game folder located in the Windows directory (not the Steam directory). The default folder will be - C: \ Users \ your_username \ Documents \ American Truck Simulator

3) Copy the gamesplanet.scs file (which can be found in gamesplanet.zip) into this new folder.

4) Start American Truck Simulator and Select the driver profile you want to activate the skin on, then left click on the mods manager.

5) Once in the Mod Manager, activate the Gamesplanet skin by double clicking the Mod. The mod will appear in the right column of the activated mods and then you can confirm changes.

6) Do some missions in the game to be able to purchase your first truck, once you've done this come back to your profile and select 'Continue the game' to get to the garage page of your truck.

6b) Click "About" at the bottom right and select 'Truck list" / 'Experiment with truck configurations'

7) In the truck tab, select the Peterbilt 579 model and then in the 'Truck design' tab select the 'Cabin Duty' cabin.

7b) In the 7th tab named 'Paintings' select the skin Gamesplanet then validate to activate the skin:

And now you can promote us while you travel around the roads in American Truck Simulator!
