Fans of the popular Strategy series Anno will soon have a new entry to sink their teeth into when Anno 117: Pax Romana arrives. While the game still doesn't have a release date, publisher Ubisoft have released a brand new 5 minute Gameplay Showcase video to give eager strategists something to feast on while they wait.

Pax Romana will let players take on the Roman Empire, as they govern the diverse culture and forge a lasting legacy. Start out by constructing a settlement and expand into a vast city. Build lumber camps, maintain resources and construct warehouses in order to keep the population happy. As with other games in the series the key to a successful city lies in keeping the people happy, and Pax Romana will be no exception. Take a look at the trailer below:

Of course that's just the tip of the economy iceberg, there's so much more to behold with rich new features to the game including the ability to have curved roads - something that's been long overdue as a series feature and should help bring better trade routes to the game.
