ARC Raiders: Fun community experiences and the launch trailer for the release

You can play the new extraction shooter ARC Raiders either alone or together with others in multiplayer mode. Multiplayer mode in particular provides some hilarious moments – a few of which can be seen here in the highlights trailer.

Embark Studios' ARC Raiders takes you to a future in which the Earth's surface has been overrun by a mysterious, technologically advanced threat called ‘ARC’. ARC are terrifying machines that are out to get you. Since this cannot go on, because ultimately only humans are allowed to destroy the world, if anyone, you slip into the role of a raider who sets out from an underground refuge called Speranza to explore the dangerous surface and confront enemies – always with the goal of recovering valuable resources, equipment and secrets. But it's not just the machines that stand in your way. Rival Raiders, for example, also have their sights set on you. Resources are limited, after all.

At its core, ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter with PvPvE mechanics and a third-person view. It is not uncommon for gameplay within a round to unfold as follows: you enter mission areas alone or in a trio, comb through them for loot, face AI dangers and, if necessary, other players, and can count yourself lucky to return to Speranza with your loot and your life intact. Every mission is a risk: if you die, you lose your equipment. If you succeed in the extraction, you can progress through the game via skill trees, crafting options and upgrading your raider. Your arsenal, gadgets and play style take shape underground before you venture back into the destroyed surface. Always with the awareness that every decision can determine success or failure.
