Winter comes to ARC Raiders with the Flickering Flames Winter Event - coming Dec 16th
The weather gets colder and new rewards aplenty, must be the holidays as Arc Raiders gets a slew of new updates in December, with a new map condition, new items to obtain and a new free raider deck to earn!
Heads up Raiders, Winter is coming to the Rust Belt later this week on December 16th, with the Flickering Flames Winter Event in Arc Raiders. Players will be able to battle it out in the new Cold Snap Map Condition, which will transform maps into frigid wastelands that lower visibility, freeze lakes and require raiders to keep warm or risk hypothermia.
"During the Cold Snap condition, the clock is ticking. The freezing weather will cut your Raider down in minutes unless you get indoors, or heal up quickly. Bear this in mind when engaging other Raiders - getting pinned down in the open is a death sentence during a Rust Belt winter."
Alongside the new Map Condition, there's the Flickering Flames Winter Event itself, which allows players to get their hands on some new rewards including:
- Raider Tokens
- New items
- Rare utility items
- Weapons
- Cosmetics
- Merits
By earning XP and playing the game you'll be able to exchange tokens for any of the limited rewards. Gather Candleberry Bush and use it to take part in the Speranza festivities below ground. The versatile plant can also used in a number of important things: such as heating, healing and being able to create seasonal decorations.
If that wasn't enough, from December 26th players will also be able to get their hands on the second free (and permanent) Raider Deck. The Goalie Raider Deck lets you unlock a series of items, Raider Tokens, and Cosmetics as you battle it out on the world above.
Face the frozen weather when the ARC Raiders Flickering Flames Event begins tomorrow, December 16th (release time unconfirmed) and runs throughout the holiday season until January 13th.
