Assassin's Creed Odyssey Ultra vs High vs Lowest 4k PC Graphics Comparison

Ancient Greece comes alive with the fantastic open world of Assasin's Creed Odyssey, but how does this gorgeous game look with the various presets? PixelPerfect compares the game on Ultra, High and the Lowest presets in a brand new 4k Graphics Comparison!!

The world of Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a stunning place which is rich in detail, and it's clear that Ubisoft has put a great deal of time into making sure it's the best looking Assassin's Creed game to date. On PC the game offers a variety of presets and our Sister Channel PixelPerfect is back to compare 3 of the presets (Ultra, High and Low) in a brand new 4k Graphics Comparison Video.

Those looking to play the game at 4k 60 may be disappointed, as with a GTX 1080Ti the game struggles to maintain a steady rate, but swapping some settings can get it pretty close to achieving the goal. Switching to the Low preset will achieve a perfect 4k 60, though the game can still look great at the lowest settings. The game appears to be very demanding and it's not hard to see why, with stunning vistas and beautiful landscapes in every direction. Sail across the oceans or ride on horseback exploring the lands. If you're not interested in 4k you can still expect a steady framerate as the game offers plenty of customisable options to tweak framerates - and a few odd ones that don't really seem to change much in the way of performance. One of the big framerate killers in the game is Volumetric Clouds, which can impact performance quite a bit if turned on to the max setting, but lowering it can see increases.

At the end of the graphics comparison we also compare the performance of each setting (Ultra, High and Low). In the video, the benchmarks start at 17:42. The results are shown at 20:54.
