Assassin's Creed Odyssey: 24 Minutes of New Gameplay Footage

Take a look at Ubisoft's upcoming open world stealth action game Assassin's Creed Odyssey with 24 minutes of new Gameplay Footage from Gamescom 2018.

Later this year we'll be exploring Ancient Greece in the upcoming Assassin's Creed Odyssey which will introduce new elements to the franchise, such as dialogue options, and for the first time in the series the ability to chose between a male or female protagonist. Each one will have their own unique story and allows for different approaches in the narrative for the game. At Gamescom players are able to try out a slice of the game with the demo on the showfloor, and thanks to Game Informer we can take a look at 24 minutes of gameplay including a look as Kassandra hunts a relic and comes face to face with a mythical foe.

NOTE: SPOILER WARNING!

According to PC Gamer Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot also confirmed that there will not be another Assassin's Creed title in 2019 and Odyssey will be a much larger game compared to last year's Origins.

"When you get [Odyssey] this year, you're going to get in for a couple of years, actually. On Assassin's, we had a game [in 2018] and we have one this year, but we are not going to have a full-fledged Assassin's next year. It's just because the team were working separately, so we have two games now, one year after the other. But next year you're not going to have a fully fledged one."

Even though we're not looking to get one next year it's expected that there will be enough content for Odyssey that should last players a long time, with even more in the pipeline. Previously the series used to be a yearly franchise, but took time out after Syndicate was released so they could create a deeper experience with Origins.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey launches on October 5th, you can pre-order the game today to save up to 15% off. All versions will include the pre-order bonus "The Blind King" mission for free. If you pre-order the Gold or Ultimate Edition you'll be able to play 3 days early on October 2nd.
