Assassin's Creed Shadows: Japan setting revealed in first trailers - introduction of the characters

The next AC, initially under the working title Assassin's Creed Codename Red, will be called Assassin's Creed Shadows. Today, Ubisoft has brought the first trailers out of the shadows - enjoy the clips here!

Finally a Japan setting: Ubisoft has announced the first official trailer Assassin's Creed Shadows for a release on 15.11.2024. In feudal Japan, you alternate between two main characters: the shinobi assassin Naoe and the legendary samurai Yasuke, each with their own individual play styles. Find out what connects you and bring stability to ancient Japan. The trailer for AC Shadows shows you what the new Assassin's Creed looks like.

Duo like thunder and lightning

As an assassin, the agile Naoe unsurprisingly relies on stealth attacks and uses tactics to confuse her enemies. Stealth mechanics are as much a part of an Assassin's Creed as lightning and thunder. Respectively Samurai Yasuke is the man for the rough and tumble. Both characters can be developed independently of each other - this applies to skills and also to equipment in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

In changeable weather and at different times of the year, the only place to get some peace and quiet in the dangerous areas is at the pacified shrines, which invite you to take a breather between castle landscapes and Japanese harbors. In the meantime, allies from your self-made spy network work for you, helping you to capture targets or solve quests, for example. In your customizable hideout, you can recruit more shinobi, practice crafting items and chat with NPCs. Similarities to the camps in AC Valhalla are probably intentional, as this mechanic seems to be well received.

Assassin's Creed Shadows is now available for pre-order on Gamesplanet. Choose the Standard, Gold or the Ultimate Edition and treat yourself to some nice bonuses with your pre-order. Such as advance access to AC Shadows with the Gold or Ultimate package.
