Assetto Corsa EVO: Release date announced for the Free Roam mode
Assetto Corsa EVO is set to receive a free-roam mode with Update 0.10 on December 9th. This takes you through the German countryside: parts of the Eifel region await as a 1:1 LIDAR-scanned replica, perfect for a leisurely exploration.
Open-road driving instead of circuit routines
Developer Kunos Simulazioni is finally sending you out onto the open road in Assetto Corsa EVO. The first part of the Eifel Free Roam will be released with Update 0.10 on December 9th. This is revealed in the recently published release date trailer. You’ll race along country roads and venture onto off-road trails in a section of the German Eifel. Incidentally, the trailer only reveals the date right at the very end.
In the second video, Marco Massarutto, co-founder and Executive Manager at Kunos Simulazioni, takes some time to discuss the new mode. He explains what Free Roam in Assetto Corsa EVO actually is and looks back at its development: how did the idea come about, and how did it become a playable feature? Finally, he gives a preview of what you can look forward to next. A must-watch for anyone who wants to know who’s at the wheel of the development process.
