Deveoloper DICE and publisher EA give us a look at the upcoming Battlefield 5 with a new video to explain the various modes coming to the WW2 shooter on November 20th. Battle Royale mode details revealed.
We're getting closer to the launch of the next entry in the Battlefield series as DICE's World War 2 shooter Battlefield 5 arrives on November 20th. This week fans will be able to take on the Multiplayer Beta to give them an idea of what we can expect from the final release, but one thing that everyone wants to know is how will the upcoming Battle Royale mode be? After much teasing by EA and DICE, we've finally got some little details about what players can expect from the mode thanks to a new video that reveals the game modes coming to BF5.
The Battle Royale mode, or "Firestorm" will be a 64 player multiplayer game with 16 teams of 4 players fighting on a huge sandbox map, littered with vehicles and destruction around every corner.
Like with it's predecessor Battlefield 1, Battlefield 5 will once again return to War Stories for the single player portion which will focus on different perspectives for the campaigns as it explores various locations within the game. This will feature 4 stories at release, with another being added post-launch.
Finally we got a taste of what is on the horizon post-launch with new free content coming to the game. As previously mentioned, DICE will no longer be adding a Season Pass for their game and all content will be free for everyone. The first content pack is coming in early 2019 with the Fall of Europe chapter, which will take players to the front lines of France with new themed content on the way.
Battlefield 5 is launching on November 20th 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
