Reunion with Claptrap: In Borderlands 4 you can muzzle the annoying robo
What would the Borderlands series be without the robo-sidekick Claptrap? Borderlands 4 can't do without him either. But apparently you can ban his tin mouth too.
No great Borderlands without Claptrap! You all know him, most of you love him - a few of you hate him for his babbling. Even for Borderlands 4, the developers couldn't do without the robot with the squeaky voice. The creators talk about their relationship with the hyperactive "General Purpose Robot" in a new Claptrap trailer "Claptrap is Back", which you can watch here.
Narrative director Sam Winkler originally intended to kill Claptrap. Whether he really meant that seriously remains to be seen. Good news for all those who find the robot character's slobbering annoying from time to time: According to Winkler, you can adjust the dialogue volume for Claptrap separately in Borderlands 4. Lead Game Designer Nick Thurston takes a liking to Claptrap's "cringy" appearance - in his opinion, the drool box definitely belongs in a good Borderlands game. What do you think?
