Borderlands 4: Focus on the endgame
With the eleventh episode of the video series ‘Beyond the Borderlands,’ Gearbox and 2K provide an in-depth look at the endgame of Borderlands 4. After the developers have already highlighted various areas of the game, such as characters and story, another part is now coming to the fore: the endgame.
Borderlands 4 is far from over after the campaign. With the return of Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, you can dive straight into tougher missions and increasing difficulty levels after completing the main story – without having to replay the story of Borderlands 4.
Weekly Wildcard Missions
The Wildcard Missions provide constant variety. These weekly rotating missions feature changing conditions, tougher enemies and guaranteed rewards. They challenge different builds and give players a reason to jump in ‘new’ every week.
More possibilities, more options
Another important feature of Borderlands 4's endgame is the new specialisation system – a separate skill tree with its own experience pool that enables completely new builds. Added to this are the Firmware Gear Sets, which unlock powerful bonuses when you collect complete equipment series. Entertaining for all gamers who want to perfect their characters and arsenal.
Raid bosses are back
Raid bosses are also making a comeback in Borderlands 4. They appear as invincible bosses in the endgame and are considered particularly challenging fights that demand a lot from players with high difficulty and exclusive rewards.
