Activision promises more free content for Call of Duty Black Ops 4
Developer Activision has revealed their plans for post-launch content for their upcoming shooter sequel Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. More free content than ever before.
We've only got a few more months to go until Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches on October 12th, and now we've got some new details on what might be in store for the game post-launch. Activision has revealed that they plan to bring even more free content to the game than ever before. One example of how this might work is the Community Events seen in Call of Duty: WWII which offered rewards and special themed maps for a limited time.
Speaking to YouTuber Drift0r, the developers revealed that we can expect a number of free things coming to the game including the return of community events (limited time modes that offer challenges and rewards) and more. We can also expect to see a number of free specialists in future updates which will be available to all players who own the game - not just those with the Season Pass. Players will also be able to try out some of the Season Pass maps during limited time events to give those without the maps a chance to try them out (details are still not clear on how this will work).
Treyarch will also give players access to new free specialists post-launch, as well as a chance to play some of the Season Pass maps during Special Events after release. For those who can't wait to try the latest maps you'll need to get the Season Pass or Digital Deluxe.
