Black Ops 4 Multiplayer Beta Content
The upcoming Multiplayer Beta will feature popular modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, as well as the new mode "Control" which will see teams alternating between attacking and defending. Each team will have a limited amount of lives as they strike back against the other team to beat them in a "best of 3" match. The first team to eliminate all enemies on the opposite team will win a point.
Also returning for Black Ops 4 is the "Pick 10 system" to give players a chance to customise their loadout with some new changes. You can equip Special Issue Equipment that is designed for use with a specific Specialist which will not count towards your Pick 10. Black Ops 4 will introduce the "Gear" slot which will allow for boosts in combat, such as getting cheaper scorestreaks with the COMSEC Device, or being able to heal faster with the Stim Shot.
Players will be able to pick one of these types of Gear per loadout so making a choice will be crucial to the outcome of a match. Lastly weapons have been redesigned and will now have their own unique set of attachments, including a new class of powerful attachments called Operator Mods, which will give guns greater depth for their role in combat.
Blackout Beta starts in September
Then in September fans will finally be able to try out the new Battle Royale mode "Blackout", which will feature elements from previous Call of Duty titles and allow players to fight in a map 1,500 times the size of Nuketown. For now we don't have much info on what the mode will contain, but we should hear more before the Beta begins. Studio Design Director, David Vonderhaar had this to say for the new mode:
“Everyone who works on Blackout or plays is always eager to share a story they have. That game session might be a triumphant victory or a tragic loss — it might be how land, sea, and air vehicles collided in unexpected ways for a final showdown — or, it just might be a funny fail moment. No matter what, when people get done playing and want to tell the story of what happened to them afterwards, you know you have something special.”
