Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War announced, coming November 13th 2020!

Activision wraps up warm with the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Launching November 13th 2020 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Bring a jacket as the Cold War is coming later this year when Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on November 13th for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Developer Treyarch are behind this latest entry in the series and will take players into a conflict set during the 1980's with it being a direct follow-up to original Black Ops.

Like last years Call of Duty: Modern Warfare , the next entry in the COD series will feature another explosive single player campaign that will take players around the globe to iconic locations including East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB headquarters and more. Nothing is as it seems!

On the multiplayer front expect a range of Cold War themed weapons and equipment as you battle in small skirmishes and vehicle-fueled warfare. As with previous entries from Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will bring back the popular Zombies mode for more brain eating co-op fun. Players will also be able to enjoy the continuation of Call of Duty: Warzone.

Byron Beede, Executive Vice President and General Manager for Call of Duty and Activision said this about the reveal:

“What better way to reveal Black Ops Cold War than together with our players from inside Call of Duty: Warzone. Black Ops Cold War delivers on all fronts - from the thrilling Story Campaign, to the next generation of Multiplayer, a brand-new Zombies experience and bringing awesome new content into Warzone following release. We’re excited to have our development teams led by Treyarch and Raven bring this next, great Black Ops experience to the next generation of platforms.”

Treyarch's Co-Studio Head, Mark Gordon spoke a little about the next chapter in the series and a continuation of the original game:

“Black Ops Cold War is not only a celebration of what makes the Black Ops series special, but it’s also a new beginning for the next generation of players. As developers, being able to bring this kind of experience to a new generation of consoles is an incredible opportunity.”

They also teased plans for a brand new Zombies mode, with more details to be revealed in the future. While you wait for a deeper look at the Multiplayer on September 9th you can see some screenshots from the reveal below!

As you'd expect from the PC version of the game, players will once again be able to enjoy even better visuals, higher framerates, wider FOVs, multi-monitor support and much more thanks to the robust engine powering the game!

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is launching on November 13th 2020 with a PC Beta scheduled for later this year. A multiplayer reveal is scheduled for September 9th.
