How to start the COD Modern Warfare Preload on PC

You can activate your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in your Blizzard account as soon as you purchase it on Gamesplanet, and then start the preload via Blizzard's Battle.net client. First, please make sure your COD: Modern Warfare is activated on your Blizzard account. If you are unsure about the activation, you can verify it by following the steps shown here.

How to start your preload of COD: Modern Warfare in the Blizzard Launcher

After you have activated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare via Gamesplanet and connected it to your Blizzard account, it's time to get down to business. Install the Blizzard Desktop App under Windows (if you haven't already), and log into your Blizzard account after the app starts.

Click on the "MW" symbol of COD: Modern Warfare in the left icon menu. On the right side you should see a blue button labeled "Install". Then select the desired target directory and click on "Start installation". **Note: If the blue button is not visible, you may have to wait a few minutes for the Blizzard servers to register your COD MW purchase. In this case, quit the Blizzard app completely and restart it after a while. You should also keep the app up to date and check for updates.

**Tip: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare takes up quite a bit of space on your hard drive. Activision even assumes that the game will eventually take up about 175 GB of additional content. In general, games are loaded faster from an installation on a SSD than if you start them from a slower HDD. Since the storage space on SSDs is often more limited, you should consider the possible growth of COD: Modern Warfare beforehand. You can of course keep things on your HDD if you prefer, sacrificing loading time speeds.
