Code Vein 2: Gameplay presentation from TGS – with an early 2026 release date!
Bandai Namco will release Code Vein 2 on January 30th 2026, according to a new trailer. Another video provides insights into the gameplay of the “Vampire Souls-like.”
In a world marked by decay and bloodlust, a new threat looms in Code Vein 2, which was announced at the Tokyo Games Show for release on January 30th 2026: Luna Rapacis. She drives revenants mad and transforms them into monstrous horrors. Players take on the role of a Revenant Hunter who travels through time with the mysterious girl Lou. Decisions made in the past and present influence the course of the story and gradually reveal the truth behind the downfall.
The combat system remains challenging and tactical, enhanced by a fresh partner feature. Companions not only fight alongside you, but can also merge with you to unleash powerful abilities. Classic elements such as Blood Codes, customizable weapons, and skills return, complemented by new exploration options—including a motorcycle that allows you to traverse the vast world more quickly.
Visually, Bandai Namco has opted for a striking anime style, combined with dark environments and formidable bosses. Code Vein 2 promises a mix of intense combat, narrative depth, and gripping horror atmosphere that should appeal to fans of Souls-like games and newcomers alike.
