Code Vein 2: The Mask of Idris DLC Is Now Available

Bandai Namco has released the first major story DLC for Code Vein 2. "The Mask of Idris" takes you to a new corner of the game world – alongside a free update for all players.

Those who have already battled their way through the main story of Code Vein 2 can now get fresh content with "The Mask of Idris". The expansion takes you to the Forgotten World, a setting born from lost, intertwined timelines. To access it, you must have seen the ending of Luna Fraterna and completed the questline surrounding Valentin's Request up to the conversation with Valentin in the Book of the Island of MagMell. The developer also recommends playing as much of the main game as possible beforehand.

Free Update 2.0 Included

Alongside the DLC release, Bandai Namco is rolling out Update 2.0 for Code Vein 2, available free of charge to all owners of the action RPG. It includes the new post-game episodes "The Era of Harmony", the Trials of Memories with more than 90 new customisation parts as rewards, and Jadwiga as a new companion wielding a greatsword and Formae skills. If you enjoy action but prefer a slightly more relaxed experience, you'll be pleased to see the new Story Priority Mode. Nostalgia fans also get an anime shader inspired by the look of the original Code Vein.

"The Mask of Idris" is included with the Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition of Code Vein 2. Owners of the Standard Edition will need the Deluxe Upgrade Pack to gain access to the DLC.
