CODE Vein reveals more about the Characters and World in new screenshots

Bandai Namco reveals more about the characters you'll be playing as in the upcoming action RPG Code Vein, as we get some brand new screenshots from this hack and slash game coming next in 2018.

When it was revealed a few months back, many people were impressed with the vampire like action RPG from Bandai Namco that's due out next year. Now they have revealed a little about each of the main characters you'll playing in the game as you fight as Yakumo Shinonome and Mia Karnstein, each with their own unique moves and abilities. Set in a future post-apocalyptic dystopia the game will allow players a chance to explore a vast world and take on a hardcore approach (much like the Dark Souls series).

Let's meet some of the characters and locations we'll be seeing when the game launches!

Yakumo Shinonome

Yakumo Shinonome is a Revenant and former mercenary, who has a strong sense of duty and takes care of other. Many revenants consider him an older brother and he can keep cool head in battles. One of his abilities is Blood Veil - "Hounds" which can allow Yakumo to transform his jacket sleeves into a pair of wolf heads. While the Wolf Heads have a short reach, they are capable of wide range and fast movements make them easy to use at close range.

He also fights with a great sword, that has powerful close range attacks that do massive damage and makes him a useful ally in a fight in a short space.

Mia Karnstein

Next up we have Mia Karnstein, who is also a Revenant explores the lands of Vein with her younger brother. She isn't afraid to take on other revenants if it means protecting her family. Mia's Blood Veil ability is called "Stinger" and it transforms her coat into a tail blade that can be used to stab enemies from long range. Mia also uses a rifle to keep enemies distanced from herself so she can dish out some ranged attacks.

The world of Vein is covered by mysterious thorns, known as the "Thorns of Judgment" where Revenants struggle to survive. With the Humans driven from their homes and forced into hiding, the calamity which occurred may have given rise to the Revenants.

The Underground Caves are made up of various rocks and limestones, and are covered in darkness that could prove fatal to those not prepared.

CODE Vein is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in Early 2018.
