Corsair Cove: Pirate City Builder Now Available with a Playable Demo on Steam

Build a pirate base in Corsair Cove—right up the side of a cliff. The building game from Hooded Horse and Limbic Entertainment now has a free demo on Steam. The official release is set for July 31, 2026.

In Corsair Cove, you take control of a handful of stranded pirates on a deserted island, with the ambitious goal of forging the last great refuge of the Golden Age of Piracy. What makes this skull-and-crossbones city builder unique: flat land is in short supply. You literally build upward—along steep cliffs, mountaintops, and rock faces. Bridges, zip lines, and elevators connect your production buildings and keep complex supply chains running, allowing you to manufacture and distribute more than 50 different goods, from telescopes and cannons to eye patches and tobacco. Because happy pirates are productive pirates, and unhappy pirates simply set sail.

Build, Plunder, Sail—and Sink the Crown

Anyone who thinks city-building on a small island is boring is sorely mistaken: With your growing fleet, you’ll set sail, raid neighboring islands, encounter mysterious events in uncharted waters, and battle the Crown’s pirate hunters in turn-based naval battles. The development of your settlement follows four paths—Fame, Empire, Seafaring, and Wealth—each of which unlocks its own buildings, ships, and quests. So whether you’d rather build a massive trading empire than lead wild raids, you’re just as welcome as the classic plunderer.
