Just a few days left until we set sail: Publisher Microids has provided a detailed gameplay look at the solo campaign of Corsairs - Battle of the Caribbean. About ten minutes of video footage show how tactical naval battles, exploration, and the campaign’s pacing play out in the finished game—a welcome first look for anyone still on the fence.

Pirates, Gunpowder, and Political Maneuvers

In this strategy and tactics game from developer Fishing Cactus, you take on the role of a buccaneer fighting for one of five major powers: France, England, Denmark, Spain, or the Netherlands. The tactical core consists of naval battles featuring up to 12 different ship types, three types of ammunition, and boarding actions where you can capture enemy ships instead of sinking them. Add to that fleet management, port expansion, and a campaign mode with unique objectives for each nation.

Corsairs - Battle of the Caribbean is a reboot of the over 20-year-old original—more modern, more extensive, and featuring a skirmish mode for online PvP battles. Release: May 18, 2026.
