Death Note: Killer Within - A gripping game full of deception and deduction
Death Note: Killer Within is the latest game to bring the dark and gripping world of the famous Death Note manga to life.
In this game, you take on the role of an investigator trying to catch the mysterious serial killer who makes his own deadly rules with the supernatural notebook. We'll tell you what you can expect.
Exciting investigations and strategic decisions
The new release offers a unique blend of detective gameplay and psychological thriller in which you must constantly weigh up good and evil. Fans of the series will encounter many familiar characters and scenarios, while newcomers will be thrilled by the storyline and well thought-out game mechanics.
System and gameplay
In Death Note: Killer Within, up to ten players compete against each other in dynamic rounds. Players are divided into two teams and take on one of four unique roles: Kira, Kira Follower, L or Investigator. Each of these roles has special abilities that strongly influence the course of the game and require a high degree of strategic thinking and teamwork.
The challenge lies in the fact that both deception and deductive skills play a major role. The game is designed for players to be constantly suspicious, as each team member pursues different goals and the truth is often hidden. The randomly generated scenarios ensure that no two rounds are the same, so players are always faced with new, unexpected challenges.
Kira supporters have to plan their strategy to either take out L or get their hands on the Death Note, while L and the investigators try to expose Kira and destroy the Death Note. This constant tension and the complex decision-making processes make Death Note: Killer Within a gripping experience for all fans of the series and fans of deductive games.
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Grounding Inc. have recently released a detailed gameplay overview for their online detective game.
