Destiny 2: PC to get a patch to fix the Hitching issue later today
Developer Bungie squashed a number of bugs in the recent patch, but also brought a hitching issue on PC. A hotfix will be deployed later today to fix the hitching.
Last week Bungie launched the 1.0.6.1 patch on PC for Destiny 2, however while it managed to stomp out some bugs it brought in some hitching issues on some systems that caused players to get frame drops at random points. Luckily the team at Bungie are aware of the issue and are set to deploy a hotfix to the game later today.
Hotfix 1.0.6.2 has no patch notes yet and is unlikely to contain any other fixes beyond the hitching issue. Console players will not be getting a hotfix patch as it's intended for PC only.
When the hotfix does arrive, some players will be forced back to the main menu when they have completed their current activity and they will have to restart Destiny 2 in order to get the new patch. If you're playing the game with someone who is unpatched then you will receive a "Code Sheep" Error Message if you try to form a Fireteam with them, and it will require them to update their game.
