Destiny 2: Update unlocks Faction Rally and Iron Banner for everyone

Bungie brings back the Faction Rally and Iron Banner Events for players without the Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris DLC, as a new update is deployed.

Since the launch of the Curse of Osiris DLC last month, players have been having a tough time playing with their friends as certain restrictions required players to own the latest DLC. Thankfully, Bungie has listened to their community and have released Patch 1.1.1.2 which brings back Faction Rally and Iron Banner events for players who do not have the DLC installed. This means that the next time the Iron Banner and Faction Rally events go live, anyone will be able to step in and participate. Currently there is no word on when they are returning, but more details will be revealed next week and those who looking to get the rewards will be able to do that once again. Plus anyone who owns the Curse of Osiris DLC can acquire brand new seasonal gear.

The update (Patch 1.1.1.2) is now available for all Destiny 2 players, and can be downloaded from the BattleNet Client. Patch notes are available below, though aside from the unlocks for both events nothing else has changed:

Iron Banner
Players without the Curse of Osiris DLC can join the Iron Banner event when available.

Faction Rallies
Players without the Curse of Osiris DLC can once again pledge to their Factions during Faction Rally events.

This is a welcome change to the game, and shows that Bungie is willing to listen to their community for feedback. Now players who do not have the DLC can join their friends in the activities.
