Destiny 2 - PvP mode Control revamped, and Endless Vale map revealed
PVP is getting revamped as the "Control" mode will give players a new way to fight each other on the battlefield, with various changes to the core gameplay. IGN also presents a look at the Endless Vale map.
In the original Destiny, one of the PVP modes known as "Control" was a popular mode but in the sequel Destiny 2 things will be changed in a big way, as matches are mainly focused on 4v4. When it comes to PVP, many MMO games rely on the standard modes like Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Team Deathmatch and with Destiny 2, they are trying new modes in the MMO Shooter that's heading to Beta on console next week (PC Beta should start later in August). Thanks to IGN we get our first look at the revamped combat for the "Control" mode in Destiny 2, as well as a look at the Endless Vale map.
Destiny 2: Sightseeing in Endless Vale
The gameplay videos offer us a look at the new revised game mode, as well as the Endless Vale map in greater detail. Set on the planet of Nessus, players will be able take on the new game map when the Beta period starts (the PC Beta is launching late August). As you can see, the Endless Vale will be a hotspot for PVP action and offer plenty of cover to flank enemies for the ultimate counter-attack.
Destiny 2 Game Mode: Control (Changes)
- Points no longer capture faster if multiple people are standing on them.
- You can activate a power play if you capture all points.
- Point A and point C begin as captured.
- Capture is no longer a two-step process eliminating neutralization. Now you only have to capture the point.
- If you capture all the zones you now enter a “power play,” meaning you’ll get even more points per kill.
- Matches are now 8 minutes long.
- Mercy rule will be enabled, but is still being developed with the beta.
Destiny 2 is coming to PC on October 24th, you can pre-order the game and look forward to the guaranteed beta pre-release in August when it starts.
