Devil May Cry 5 - Everything you need to know!
Dish out some pain on demons in Devil May Cry 5, which is set to launch later tonight. Get up to speed with the game in our handy recap guide while you wait!
What is Devil May Cry 5?
Devil May Cry 5 takes place after the events of Devil May Cry 4 as Dante and Nero face off against new foes in Red Grave City. This time around they'll be getting help in tackling demons with the assistance of old and new friends, including a mysterious newcomer called V. The game offers up 3 playable characters with their own unique moves, for example Dante is capable of delivering powerful melee attacks and is able to swap between various stances to assist him in combat. Meanwhile Nero can use his powerful Devil Breaker arm to unleash devastating hits on enemies and pull them towards him to close the gap. The last playable character is V, a mysterious character that can summon familiars to weaken his enemies and deliver a final blow.
Like with previous games in the series, the game offers a variety of combo attacks thanks to a fast-paced system that allows novices to pull off satisfying moves thanks to Style Ranks that look at your performance in combat and rate it. Players can use Orbs collected from enemies to upgrade their abilities and allow for even greater moves. The story revolves around a demon invasion that has taken hold of Red Grave City, and in true hero fashion it's up to Dante with the aide of his friends to put a stop to the emerging threat and put the demons to rest.
The Devil May Cry series has had ups and downs over the years, but the latest entry in the series is looking to be the best one ever made. We don't have much longer to wait as it's set to launch later tonight. Take a look at the critic reviews to see what everyone is saying on Devil May Cry 5 while you wait!
