DOOM Eternal: New Gameplay Footage from QuakeCon 2019
Get another taste of hellish action from QuakeCon 2019 as brand new DOOM Eternal Gameplay was shown off, plus extra details revealed ahead of the November 22nd launch.
At the weekend, Bethesda had a look at the cards and showed off some new gameplay material from their upcoming FPS sequel DOOM Eternal, which is coming to PC on November 22nd. The focus here is on the game's Battle Mode, which will replace the previous multiplayer mode from the series. Bethesda aims to make the new Battlemode fast, more dynamic and more aggressive than the previous multiplayer experience - following the fast-paced singleplayer mode that the first game was known for. See all new gameplay footage from the presentation with a 16 minute keynote video from QuakeCon 2019!
For DOOM Eternal's Battle Mode, two players control two demons, while a third player has to take on the danger. Of course will all the weapons, powerups and equipment that DOOM Eternal has to offer (including new abilities). Demon players can talk to each other and look through walls, but the slayer has to rely on his skills to stay out of the others line of sight. Unlike Demons however, the slayer is able to use portals to quickly navigate between levels to stay one step ahead of their foes.
The player who controls the Slayer must also kill the second demon within 20 seconds as soon as the first one is defeated, otherwise the first demon will rise again with health and make it even tougher for the slayer. To keep the multiplayer mode in DOOM Eternal entertaining in the long run, the publisher has announced free additional content coming to the game post-launch with plenty of demon hunting content to look forward to in the future!
