DOOM: The Dark Ages – Revelations: Hugo Martin from id Software shows the DLC in a new video
To mark the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages - Revelations, id Software Co-Studio Director and Game Director Hugo Martin provides an overview of the new campaign expansion, complete with fresh gameplay footage.
Just in time for the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages - Revelations, id Software veteran Hugo Martin speaks out personally. In the new overview video for the expansion’s release, the Game Director explains what you can expect from the campaign expansion and showcases detailed gameplay at the highest skill level.
DOOM: The Dark Ages was already cool even before Revelations. But now, in the story, hell literally freezes over: The Slayer is wounded and betrayed, then thrown into new, ice-covered maps. To escape, you’ll have to face uncomfortable truths and regain your strength. In Revelations, you’ll have to do more than just take down a monster of the gods.
In terms of gameplay, Revelations introduces the chain spear—a completely new melee weapon that combines precision with mobility and noticeably rewards mastery of the system. On top of that, there are new levels with trickier puzzles, fresh demon types, and plenty of secrets to discover.
If you’re still not done after the campaign, Update 4.0—also now available—features a revamped Ripatorium 3.0: three new arenas, all Revelations demons including their leaders, fully upgraded gear, as well as new soundtrack tracks and encounter presets. Take on the role of the Slayer and face the darkest chapter in the series—DOOM: The Dark Ages – Revelations is now available for PC.
