Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen - Expansion coming October 9, 2026
Capcom has announced the first major expansion for the epic RPG Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is set to release on October 9, 2026, and will feature a new area, dungeon challenges, and new character options.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is finally getting a major expansion: Capcom has announced Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen with a trailer, continuing a tradition—the first game already received an extensive expansion of the same name with Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. It will be released on October 9, 2026, and the add-on will be available separately, soon also on Gamesplanet.
Norgan - The Icy North Calls
At the heart of DD2: Dark Arisen lies Norgan, a snow-covered region in the north of the Kingdom of Vermund. The region was once inhabited but was abandoned for unknown reasons—and has since been overrun by dangerous creatures. Those who traverse the icy expanses and defeat the monsters there will be rewarded with powerful relics that can be upgraded into strong equipment with offensive and defensive bonuses. Certain equipment sets even unlock unique abilities.

Lost Rites - 12 Dungeon Trials
Twelve standalone dungeon challenges await the Arisen under the name Lost Rites. Lying dormant in these newly discovered dungeons is equipment from past Arisen—legendary loot for anyone looking to prove themselves. There will also be new outfits for the Arisen and their companions. The character editor is getting additional hairstyles and tattoos so you can customize your Arisen and Pawns even further.
To coincide with the announcement, Capcom is rolling out the first of two major updates for the base game today—the second is scheduled for August 2026 according to the roadmap. Both are intended to improve gameplay, comfort, and balance before Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen brightens up your dark autumn days.
