Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen – Actor Ron Perlman heralds the return of the dragon
Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is out tomorrow on PC. In the new video, actor Ron Perlman talks about the background to the story behind the expansion for the fantasy role-playing game.
If a voice sounds as though it’s already devoured demons for breakfast, it’s probably Ron Perlman’s. The actor is best known as the title character in the Hellboy films, as Clay Morrow in Sons of Anarchy, and as the narrator in the Fallout series. In the new Capcom video “Welcome to Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen”, Perlman explains the story and heralds a calamity that will soon befall you in the game.
What to expect in Dark Arisen
The expansion Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen sends you to the long-abandoned north of Norgan. There, you’ll team up with the enigmatic Eir and unravel the mysteries of the immortal Fallen Dragon. On your expedition, you’ll track down forgotten relics and have them appraised to unlock new weapons and abilities. There are also twelve Lost Rites dungeon challenges and fresh options in the character editor: new hairstyles and tattoos – so you can look the part whilst slaying goblins.
What is the main game about?
Dragon’s Dogma 2, also available as a bundle comprising the main game and the Dark Arisen expansion, is a story-driven single-player action RPG. You take on the role of the Arisen and decide for yourself on your appearance, vocation, party and approach. Fighting alongside you are numerous, freely selectable Pawns, who provide support as AI-controlled companions – these include characters created by other players. Armed with a sword, bow or magic, you face monsters and hordes of enemies.
Release of Dark Arisen for PC
Tomorrow, in the early hours of October 9th 2026, Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will be released for PC at 2 am. The bundle includes the base game and the expansion. If you already own Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can also purchase the Dark Arisen expansion separately as an add-on. So it’s time to lace up your winter boots, Arisen!
