Action RPG Dragonkin: The Banished leaves Early Access – Full release confirmed for March 19
Dragonkin: The Banished will reach full version 1.0 status on March 19. The release date trailer announces the conclusion of the story, local co-op, and major system updates.
After more than a year in Early Access, the hack-and-slash action RPG Dragonkin: The Banished is about to launch. Publisher Nacon has announced the full release for March 19 and accompanied the announcement with a new trailer. A comprehensive multiplayer update will be released on February 25, ahead of the final release, which will expand and prepare key game systems for what you can expect in version 1.0.
For the full release, Dragon: The Banished will receive its complete story and a local co-op mode (as requested by the community). This means that Dragonkin will remain playable together on one machine for the first time outside of online play. At the same time, all previous Founder Packs will return permanently and will also be bundled in a new Blood Scales Edition for PC, which includes all cosmetic content from all Founder and Lord Packs.
The multiplayer update for Dragonkin brings online co-op with shared city progress, shared quests, and flexible convenience features such as teleportation to other players, reviving in combat, and free item trading without a global economy. Important: The game remains fully playable offline at all times. Another new feature is a shared city center where you can meet other players in Montescail.
There are also significant adjustments to the game mechanics. The previous generator dispenser system has been toned down, and generators are now optional. Abilities are given ranks, and mana regeneration is shifted more towards equipment. Starting at level 50, a new endgame progression system begins with Ancestors and Tribute, complemented by revamped hunts with shorter durations, clear objectives, and new champion enemies in Dragonkin.
Other new features range from rotatable fragments and additional talents to new city services such as the Master of Fragments and a divine companion who collects resources. All in all, version 1.0 marks the biggest step forward for Dragonkin yet—and should be the ideal starting point for many of you as an all-inclusive package.
