Dune: Awakening: Filmic Archive DLC brings a cinematic look to Arrakis – plus a major 1.5 update

On September 22nd, Dune: Awakening will receive the ‘Filmic Archive’ cosmetic DLC, featuring stunning outfits inspired by the Dune films. Today also marks the release of Update 1.5, introducing a single-player mode, which is available now.

From September 22nd, you’ll be able to roam the sands of Arrakis like a film character in Dune: Awakening (currently available at half price for a limited time on Gamesplanet!). The new Filmic Archive DLC introduces armour and outfits inspired by the two Villeneuve films, “Dune: Part One” and “Dune: Part Two”. Included, for example, is the “Aegis of the Unwalked Path” armour, inspired by Paul Atreides’ visions of the Fremen warriors, as well as the Caladan Stormcoat, worn by both Paul and Duke Leto in the first instalment. There are also further outfits from the films and an extensive 73-piece Sardaukar building set, which you can use to design your base in the style of the feared imperial elite force.

Update 1.5: Finally playing solo

For many, the already-released Update 1.5 is likely to be even more significant. It introduces a fully-fledged single-player mode for Dune: Awakening, extensive gameplay customisation options and the conclusion of the Book One storyline. The update is the result of over a year of further development since the game’s release and makes Dune: Awakening noticeably more polished. Whether you’re a newcomer or returning after a long break – there are now plenty of reasons to pay a visit to Arrakis once more. Fan of the films?
