Dying Light 2: 26 Minutes of New 4k Gameplay Footage
Techland gives players a glimpse at their upcoming Survival Horror game Dying Light 2, which is launching in 2020 with 26 minutes of 4k Gameplay footage from E3 2019.
Originally shown off at E3 2019 in June, this new look at the game gives players a chance to see just what they can expect when the game launches next year. Explore a new infected open world from the ground, or run across rooftops thanks to new parkour moves that allow the player to keep moving no matter what stands in their way. Not only will players have new agility options, including the return of the grappling hook, but they'll also have new combat skills that can be used to take on even more foes. The game also introduces brand new weapons, such as the Scorpio, a deadly ranged weapon that can one shot most enemies and block attacks.
You play as newcomer Aiden Caldwell, who is forced to make tough decisions that will reflect the world around him. Choices you make are very important to the narrative and could open up new paths for you to find in the world. For example, one choice in the gameplay demo involved keeping someone alive, which allows Aiden to get into a walled off area that would have otherwise been tougher to get in. As you progress further into the world you'll come across other opportunities that will be able to assist you so be sure to keep an eye on for them as the world evolves based on your actions.
Take a look at the 4k Gameplay footage for yourself and see the lovely open world that you'll get to see next year.
There's still no definitive word on when the game is launching, however Dying Light 2 is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 sometime in 2020.
