Dying Light to receive 10 free DLC packs over 12 months
Techland is offering 10 Free DLC packs over 12 months for their open world action parkour title Dying Light. Content will include new enemies, areas, events and more.
When it comes to Zombie open world titles there's already a number of games to pick from, with Dead Rising, Dead Island and the parkour themed co-op survival Dying Light - which has been created by Techland (who also worked on Dead Island). Originally released way back January 2015, this open world game has you playing as Kyle Crane, who has been hired to find a cure for the outbreak in the city of Harran.
Developers Techland have announced that more than 500,000 players have been playing the game and they intend to release brand new content over 12 months for free. Starting later this year you will be able to get 10 Free DLC packs (plus a bonus one that isn't part of the pack soon) which add in new enemies, new areas to explore, new events and much more. Additionally you will soon be able to get your hands on the first piece of content, known as "DLC #0" you can expect new enemy types coming to the game. This is not part of the 10 free packs and will be arriving in the coming weeks.
This is not the first time that the developers have added content to the game for free, last year players were given a number of free updates for the game such as the Hard Mode, additional skins, as well as "The Following" expansion that added a new area and vehicles into the game.
Techland have also announced they plan to share more community events in the future, with up to four per quarter. Plus you can expect more bug fixes, tweaking and balance changes with them launching a dedicated community platform to help the fans get their voice heard and influence future content.
Dying Light is now available, have you played it yet?
