Step into Echoes of Aincrad, an upcoming Action RPG which is set within the Sword Art Online universe, when the game arrives in a few weeks on July 10th 2026. Check out the brand new story 2 trailer while waiting and pre-order for bonuses!
Only a few more weeks to wait until publisher Bandai Namco takes us back to the world of Sword Art Online with their spin off title Echoes of Aincrad, launching on July 10th. But what exactly is the game and how is it different from the regular Sword Art series? In a brand new story trailer we get a taste of the world that awaits. Players will visit the legendary floating castle of Aincrad, which is a realm filled with danger and you will need to fight in order to survive. Forge bonds with others and team up to take on even more deadly foes that seek to put an end to your existence. Unfortunately it seems that it's no longer possible to log out of the game, so dying in the game means death is permanent.
It's no longer a game anymore, it's pure survival and it'll test your skills. Level up your characters, equip weapons, explore a thriving world and risk your reality. Take a look at the Story Trailer 2 and pre-order today to get bonuses!
Pre-order Bonus and Editions
Anyone who pre-orders Echoes of Aincrad will receive the Proto-Eluzidator Series Weapon Pack—a set of six weapon types plus a shield, complete with blueprints, inspired by the prototype of the Black Swordsman’s favorite blade—regardless of which edition they choose on Gamesplanet. A nice bonus to help you get started.

The Echoes of Aincrad Deluxe Edition includes the Starter Pack, the expansion DLC (scheduled through the end of 2026), and early access to Death Match mode—where a single death wipes your progress—in addition to the main game.

The Echoes of Aincrad Ultimate Edition takes it up a notch: In addition to the Deluxe Edition features, you’ll receive the “Unanswered//butterfly” bonus content app with exclusive artwork, soundtrack, and additional content, as well as the armor pack featuring Fluttering Robes and Fluttering Boots. Content that isn’t otherwise available in the main game. Especially cool: The full-length promotional animated film “Unanswered//butterfly” is included, which tells a story separate from the main narrative that runs for approximately 120 minutes.
