Role-playing game Edge of Memories: Nacon showcases the game world of Avaris

Nacon has released an environment trailer introducing the world of Edge of Memories: the action RPG from Midgar Studio is due to be released on December 3rd 2026 for PC.

Get ready for a new story set in the Edge of Eternity universe when the sequel Edge of Memories launches next month. As Eline, the Soul Whisperer, you’ll battle the Corrosion threatening the continent of Avaris and its nomadic peoples in Edge of Memories. Eline can control the plague within herself. Ysoris makes her return from the first game, guiding Eline as a mentor, and the Shaman Prince Kanta also stands by her side in this action role-playing adventure. Even if you've not played the first game you can still enjoy Edge of Memories, as it has a self contained story and world - though it does take place after the events of Edge of Eternity so you may understand the story more with callbacks.

Your journey takes you from the port city of Sarlah-Durah to the Kezal Mountains. The places you visit change as the story unfolds, and on the Nekaroo you’ll reach new destinations. A Nekaroo is a cat-like mount and your faithful companion in Edge of Memories. With it, you’ll traverse the vast expanses of Avaris and, thanks to its agility, reach regions that would be inaccessible on foot.

Visually, the game features an anime-style look powered by Unreal Engine 5. In combat, you’ll chain together attacks, customise your companions’ gear and go berserk when the situation demands it.
