Elden Ring Nightreign Launches May 30th, pre-order today!
An Elden Ring with battle royale elements? Elden Ring Nightreign will certainly be good for a surprise or two. Not surprisingly, as a partner of Bandai Namco, we can now offer Nightreign for pre-order. Watch the pre-order trailer here. And the release date has also been finalised.
A few selected content creators have already been able to try out Elden Ring Nightreign and some have described the spin-off as ‘very weird’. This is probably due to the fact that Nightreign suddenly serves up completely different gameplay elements, which is atypical for From Software games. From Software itself calls it a ‘co-op action survival game’. Others describe it as a ‘dark fantasy battle royale’. However, some creators have made up their minds after their first play sessions: Elden Ring Nightreign is supposed to be a kind of ‘action roguelike for three players’, with a round, blue veil that closes as the game progresses, just like in games like Fortnite or COD Warzone.
If a character remains outside this circle, it takes damage. If a team of players stays inside until the final round, a final boss is waiting to be defeated. Before that, the Neightreign co-op team diligently collects loot, massacres smaller enemies and supports each other in the process. The highlight: At the end of each round, a different boss always surprises you. These are not just bosses from the original Elden Ring, but also completely new ones and even bosses from Dark Souls titles. Yes, seriously. Can you still take him, the Nameless King? Those who survive three cycles will face one of eight Nightlord bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign. One of them can be seen in the trailer: The beast with three heads. These bosses are likely to be particularly challenging. So coordinate well as a team, distribute roles and tasks at best and only when you have destroyed one of these Nightlords will you be considered to have completed a playthrough. By the way, the first closed beta phases (on consoles) will be starting soon. Further registrations for these ‘network tests’ are not possible at the moment, but maybe later again.

In addition to the main game, the Deluxe Edition contains additional DLC (with special playable characters and bosses), a digital artbook and a mini soundtrack. The Deluxe DLC should be available in Q4 2025 at the latest. Elden Ring Nightreign itself will be released on May 30th 2025.
