ELDEN RING Shadow of the Erdtree coming June 21st, gets a gameplay trailer

It's now official: The first major expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, will be released on 21 June 2024, according to Bandai Namco, and you can see the first gameplay trailer here.

Many have been longing for the announcement with an official gameplay trailer much earlier. After all, Dark Souls/Elden Ring fans need new fodder as soon as possible. But publisher Bandai Namco and developer FromSoftware have been dragging their feet. But now it's here in all its glory, the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring - Shadow of the Erdtree, at least three minutes long. Three minutes for hardcore fans to analyse every little detail in the trailer. Three minutes that you can also simply enjoy. With great anticipation for 21 June 2024, when the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion will be available.

The Earth Tree trailer gives us our first glimpse of the new areas that will be paved with corpses this summer, because as we know from FromSoftware, the Elden Ring DLC will also be quite challenging. The outlines of ghostly tombstones are already there. The trailer also shows some smaller enemies and - once again unsurprisingly - spectacular, sometimes huge bosses. And a new main protagonist has entered the stage for Elden Ring - Shadow of the Erdtree: Messmer The Impaler. It will be interesting to see what story FromSoftware knits around the "friend of the snakes".
