Vampyr Documentary Series, Episode 2: Architects of the Obscure

Developer DONTNOD reveals more about the city of London in this new Behind the Scenes video for the upcoming Action RPG Vampyr, which arrives on June 5th.

Each week we get a look behind the scenes from developer DONTNOD as they give us a glimpse of their upcoming Action RPG Vampyr. This week it's Episode 2 "Architects of the Obscure", in which we learn more about the city of London and the narrow streets that make for the perfect Action Vampire game. Dr. Reid certainly has his pick for victims should his newfound condition tempt him to the dark side, or he can use his abilities for good and stop crime. Choice is everything and the player is given their own decisions in how to progress in the game.

With Vampyr, the game will be set in Old London and the districts of the game will reflect this with each one offering up some visual distinction from the other. There will be four districts in the game, and the developers reveal a bit more about them in this latest behind the scenes video. For example you have the Whitechapel and the Docks districts which are home to poverty and crime, while the West End is home to the wealthy. You'll also be able to visit the Pembroke Hospital which gives Dr. Reid a chance to put his medical training to the test - or using his new found vampire abilities on helpless citizens. The choice is yours!

DONTNOD wants to bring London to life in every way possible, to that end they are not only making it look like the famous city but also sound like it too. The narrow streets of London make for a great Vampire game, with plenty of dark alleys offering tense moments for action scenes taking place.
