Far Cry 5: Season Pass Detailed, includes a free copy of Far Cry 3
Ubisoft reveals the content that will be featured in the Far Cry 5 Season Pass, which also includes a free copy of the classic Far Cry 3!
When it comes to a Season Pass most of them offer up new missions, items, modes or other fun things but with the upcoming Season Pass for Far Cry 5, Ubisoft are taking things one step further by including a free game! By purchasing the Season Pass or Gold Edition for Far Cry 5, you will get Far Cry 3 for free. This will be the original version (if you purchase on PC) that released way back in 2012, and also spanned the spin off "Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon".
Expect even more crazy adventures with the Season Pass for Far Cry 5, which includes 3 DLC's with their own unique themes. For example you've got one DLC that takes players back in time to Vietnam to face the Viet Cong soldiers, which we imagine is going to contain plenty of explosions. Another will see us fighting Zombies, and the last involves taking a trip to the red planet Mars as they leave Earth behind to face off against the Martians!
Far Cry 5 Season Pass Content:
- Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers
- Dead Living Zombies: Players will face hordes of zombies in multiple b-movie scenarios
- Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with Martian arachnids
The Far Cry 3 included in the Season Pass or Gold Edition will be the 2012 original on PC, featuring a fantastic island adventure with the crazed cult leader Vaas trying to stop Jason Brody from saving his friends. Players who purchase the game on console will get the "Classic Edition" version of Far Cry 3, which will include the Single Player only. It's unclear at this time whether or not the Classic Edition is a remastered version but we'd expect so. All Season Pass/Gold Edition owners will be able to enjoy Far Cry 3 for May 29th, then a month later on June 26th it will be available to all players.
Far Cry 5 is coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4 on March 27th. You can pre-order the PC version now and get bonuses for free when the game launches!
