Prey - Preload and Game Launch Times

You can get your key for Prey right now, but the preload will be happening later today before the game is officially launched on Friday. Below you'll be able to find out exactly when the game unlocks and what you need to start playing.

Preload start

The preload for the game is now available on both PC and consoles, so you'll be able to add the code to Steam and start preloading right away ahead of the May 5th launch!

Space Required to Install

You will need at least 17.4 GBs of HDD Space, though the required amount mentioned on the Steam page states 20 GB HDD Space so you should keep some spare just in case. Console versions are 35-50 so it's unclear whether or not we'll have to download more of if they have some crazy compression on PC.

Unlock times for the Game

Prey will be released on May 5th for PC, Xbox One and PS4. All players will be able to play it from 00:00 BST (or their regional equivalent), for example if you're in Europe that would be 1am CEST.
