Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, Assassin's Creed and more Coming from Ubisoft in the next year!

Ubisoft bringing new Assassin's Creed, Far Cry 5, The Crew 2, South Park: The Fractured but Whole and more during it's next fiscal year.

During their earnings call earlier today, it was announced that we would be seeing several franchises making their return including a new Assassin's Creed title, Far Cry 5, The Crew 2 and the long awaited South Park: The Fractured but Whole. All of these are planned to release during their next fiscal year, which takes place between April 1st 2017 - March 31st 2018.

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot had the following to say about the upcoming games:

In 2017-18 we will see the exciting returns of Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, The Crew and South Park

More titles are also planned for the 2018-2019 period, with another four major AAA titles coming (though exactly what they would be was not revealed). Can we see another Splinter Cell or perhaps a Prince of Persia make a return? Let's hope!

The first image we got was from Assassin's Creed, which shows off a new Greeny Blue logo with a gold Asssassin Symbol in the background. Rumours have pointed that this next game may take place in Egypt and feature a shield wearing character. Not much else is known, but the tease was showecased with the words "A New Era Begins".

Elsewhere we got a new logo reveal for the next Far Cry title, which will be Far Cry 5. Not much is known about the next entry in the Far Cry series at this point - but we did get teased about a possible Island connection to Far Cry 3 recently, could the next entry in the series be a follow up to that or something completely new? The last entry in the series was 2016's Far Cry Primal which took players to the stone age and was perhaps a little bit different from other entries in the franchise.

The Crew 2 was also revealed during the call, though like with the other games details are basically non existent right now. Will this next entry take place in another region? It's likely as the original game spanned the entire US so where will the sequel go? Maybe Europe?

And it was reconfirmed that South Park: The Fractured But Whole would be releasing in the next year as well, after being hit with a few delays it seems that we may finally get a new release date. This would be the 3rd E3 for the game so let's hope it's the last!

Should we get anymore details on any title we will be sure to keep you posted, E3 is weeks away so I imagine we'll find out more details around then.
