Total War: WARHAMMER (Real Time Strategy)

The team behind the Total War series decided they would take the franchise into new territory and used the Warhammer fantasy universe to create Total War: WARHAMMER. Much like other entries in the series you are given multiple factions such as the Dwarves, the Empire, the Vampire Counts and Greenskins to pick from and build up a massive army to fight with in a huge battlefield. Each one has their own unique set of units that can be used, for example Dwarfen Gyrocopters are able to fly above the fields and gain the upper hand (pun?) on unsuspecting enemies. You'll fight over a huge grand campaign map as you battle among other factions for survival. The game also includes monsters such as Dragons that can swoop in from the Sky to reign down chaos from above, or giant units that can stomp over lesser creatures. Next month we also see the release of the sequel, which promises even larger battles and more units than ever before!

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited (Massively Multiplayer Online RPG)

The Elder Scrolls series needs no introduction these days, responsible for creating some of the deepest and breathtaking worlds to explore and The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited takes players on a journey with others as the series goes into the MMO space. Originally the game featured a subscription service, but that's been abolished and now you only have to pay once to be able to play the game (unless you're buying an expansion that is). Even the Crown shop featured in the game can be avoided if you don't want to spend any real money. Like other Elder Scrolls games you're able to explore a massive open world, complete quests, meet some interesting NPC's and. The game features 10 difference races and 4 classes to pick from, each class will offer various attacks, spells and passives. Recently the Morrowind expansion released and offers players a chance to go back to Morrowind, with a new region, a new class and more!

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons (Adventure / Story Rich)

At the surface Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is a game that relies on controlling two brothers at the same time to solve puzzles and tell an interesting story. Yet there's more to it than that and while a short game, it delivers emotions and has a strong narrative that tells the story of these two brothers and what has happened to them. Puzzles require you to use both brothers and will be controlled using the analogue sticks (requires a Controller), certain ones may need the brothers to push and pull objects, while others could need them to hold a switch while the other pushes something. It's the dynamic between both brothers that brings the world to life, characters you interact with also do a good job pushing the fantastic story forward. The game may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for the price you're bound to enjoy the time spent with the brothers :)

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist (Third Person Shooter / Action / Stealth)

Hard to believe that we've not had a Splinter Cell game since 2013, but Splinter Cell Blacklist is one of the best in the series and has a ton of content for single and multiplayer to engage with. The story takes place years after Splinter Cell Conviction and a new terrorist is trying to cause a global blackout, it will be up to Sam Fisher to put an end to them. Using his huge Cargo Plane as a mobile base he's able to co-ordinate things and plan counterattacks in the air. The game features some great level design and will take place around the world, much like previous entries in the series Sam will be able to equip various weapons and gadgets - this time he's even able to upgrade them to aid him further. Making a return from Conviction is the "execute" system which allows Sam to pull off some satisfying kill shots and help him out in tough spots (which some may like and some may not). You're even able to take on a couple missions with a buddy in Co-op, which adds even more depth to the game and can result in some hilarious moments.

Try your luck with Sam Fisher, Splinter Cell Blacklist is 66% off today!

South Park: The Stick of Truth (Action / Adventure / RPG)

The gang of South Park have been on our TV screens for 20 years and during their run we've had some weird games, most were not very good. Luckily the RPG masterminds Obsidian Entertainment, who were the team behind classics such as Neverwinter Nights 2 (Obsidian) and Fallout: New Vegas, came to the rescue in 2013 when they released South Park: The Stick of Truth. This Action RPG gave put players in the shoes of the new kid, who recently moved to South Park and was trying to make friends with Cartman, Stan and friends in search of the Stick of Truth.

Plus we've got the sequel to look forward to in a few months when South Park: The Fractured but Whole launches at long last!
