Halo: Campaign Evolved - Advanced Access Launches; Premium Owners Get an Early Jump to the Ring
Halo: Campaign Evolved is launching in Advanced Access for those who pre-ordered the Premium Edition, a co-op mode included. To mark the release of the Halo remake, Xbox Game Studios has released the launch trailer.
Anyone who has pre-ordered the Premium Edition of Halo: Campaign Evolved can dive right into the action. Advanced Access has begun, allowing you to experience the completely revamped campaign of Halo: Combat Evolved even before the official release on July 28th, either solo or in co-op for up to four players with full cross-play support. To mark the launch, Halo Studios has released a launch trailer showcasing the Ring in all its new glory: revamped graphics, a completely remixed soundtrack, and newly staged cutscenes.
Since Halo: Campaign Evolved is cross-platform, you'll need a Microsoft account with a Gamertag that you share with your friends to play co-op matches with them on other systems. Then, add your teammates to your friends list via Xbox.com, the Xbox app, or the Xbox Game Bar. Once the request is confirmed, you’ll find the option to send invitations or join an active Fireteam in the “Play Co-op” menu—a flashing icon lets you know when friends are online. Detailed instructions are available in the support article on Halo Waypoint.
25th Anniversary Gift
To celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary, there’s a free bonus for all players: the Silver Anniversary Armor, complete with a matching assault rifle design, which can be unlocked right away when you first open the Customization menu. The Standard Edition release of Halo: Campaign Evolved for PC launches on July 28th.
