When publisher Hooded Horse (Manor Lords, Endless Legend 2) releases a game, the strategy community stands at attention. Heart of the Machine is a colony builder with a science fiction scenario that puts you in the role of an AI. You secretly plan the overthrow and takeover of the government and can decide for yourself whether the survival of the humans is important to you or not. Quite interesting and unusual - as the following launch trailer makes clear.

There are a number of buildings in the procedurally generated world of Heart of the Machine, which was developed by Arcan Games. And you can manipulate the people living there for your own purposes or simply kill them. Depending on what goals you are pursuing in the dystopian city of the future, it may make sense to keep smaller groups of people in a good mood. Transfer your AI consciousness to other machine entities, try your hand at hacking or diplomacy and don't be averse to violence if circumstances make it necessary.
