Deadly brushes: First story DLC “Brushes with Death” for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - how to start the quests
Brushes with Death is the promising title of the first story expansion for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which is now available - and this is how you start the new quest series with the DLC content.
Hairdressers, a blatant hardcore mode and other content have already been added by developer Warhorse Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 free of charge. Owners of the Expansion Pass, included in the Gold Edition of KCD2, can now enjoy a completely new questline, which also expands your game with the “Deadly Brushes” content in the separately available DLC Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Brushes with Death.
A strange artist needs your help to paint a shield, and when it comes to uncovering his mysterious past, you find yourself in the middle of a story that no brush has ever put on canvas before. Thanks to his new task, Heinrich has access to new shield designs with more than 100 unique designs and color combinations.
In order for Heinrich's new comrade to complete his life's work, you will follow the branching quest series with two core storylines on both map sections of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Old acquaintances from the main campaign may also make a return appearance here and there. Impressions in the launch trailer for the release of Brushes with Death:
How to start the quest series in Brushes with Death
So that you don't have to search around the world of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 for a long time, we'll explain how to start the first quest from the Deadly Brushes DLC here. The prerequisite is that you have at least already visited and gained access to Trosky Castle in the main campaign of the game, i.e. after the main quest "For Whom the Hour Strikes". The strange artist Voyta can be found in the attic near the scribe's chamber. Warhorse Narrative Designer Vladimír Mareček comments: “He seems very strange and even talks to a painted human skull!”. Now that could be an interesting encounter!
As long as you have access to Castle Trosky, you can visit Master Painter Voyta at any time after installing the Brushes with Death content and start his quest series. According to GameStar, it is advisable to start this directly after the main game quest “For Whom the Hour Strikes”, as this way the content fits particularly neatly into the story and you don't have to wait until the second part of the main campaign to explore the areas around Kuttenberg.
Have you already played all of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and turned Kuttenberg upside down? No problem: Travel to Trosky Castle, flush out Painter Voyta in his attic room and wield the Deadly Brushes!
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Brushes with Death is now available on Gamesplanet for only $5.69 / £4.74.
